Short biography

Jadranka was born in Pula in 1977 but grew up on the island of Lošinj where tourism was an important presence in her life from an early age. After graduating from high school in the US, she enrolled at Faculty of Economics of the University of Rijeka to study international trade graduating with a Bachelors of Economics degree in 2000. With a goal of gaining experience in an international environment, Jadranka was active in the international student organization AIESEC where she was responsible for student exchanges. Encouraged by these positive experiences and in search of more substantive international exposure, she won an internship at Deutsche Post World Net in Bonn where she worked on launching a new service in the German market as part of the company’s strategic marketing team.

Upon her return to Croatia, Jadranka was fortunate to have experienced different corporate environments and to have acquired a wide spectrum of knowledge and skills. She gained experiences in sales and marketing during her time at Voestalpine and Robert Bosch, as well as the Lowe Digitel marketing agency. Her knowledge of change management comes from Spona communications. As a consultant at the international consulting firm Roland Berger Management Consulting she was responsible for developing tourist destinations, reorganizing tour-operators and agencies, and their positioning in the market. Having taken over as the head of corporative sales in Generalturist, Jadranka managed the organization of the department and the team with the goal of improving sales channels, integrating business products and acquiring new clients.

Jadranka joined the Horwath Consulting team in 2008. Her work focus is on destination management and master planning, as well as marketing positioning of diverse local and regional tourist destinations.
